its good to take a day off now and then. not sure about two full weeks but it shouldnt have an adverse effect.

I wasn't on treatment for abt 2 weeks as well before. I don't think I have a big shed.

Just get on the treatment. are you planning to stop using minoxidil?

K3, please keep us updated how you respond. You too David, as I have been using minoxidil for a while and have been thinking that maybe if you take a few days off and then restart you might get better results just as JayB got.

I have just updated my pic. check it here: viewtopic.php?f=28&t=40323

I don't think I experience massive shed. its just a constant shed. But one thing I realized is that: taking Propecia now doesn't really give the same effect as compared to my first time taking it. The effect is so diff. I remember the first time I took it, I shed lesser, its just felt gd. But as of a few months ago, I still shed a lot. Perhaps its due to minoxidil.

I currently have thin hair but I don't believe I am going to go bald (my older brother still has his hair and has had some of the same thinning as me however it has stabilized for both of us). I am considering trying the Rogaine foam but am worried that, should I decide to stop treatment, it will cause me to lose the "pre-treatment" hair I currently have resulting in a net loss of hair.

If at some point during the course of my treatment I decide to stop using Minoxidil will I lose any of the hair that I had prior to treatment?

I am interested in trying Rogaine but will avoid it if it means becoming dependent on the treatment to preserve my existing hair... in other words, I would rather keep the hair I have right now than risk losing more should I decide to try a cycle of Minoxidil then quit.
