Stopped minoxidil cold turkey 2 months ago

Alright so it has been two months since I stopped minoxidil. I have not noticed and shed or hair loss so far. I was using it on my hairline corners and had been using it for over a year. When will I start noticing loss. I kind of figured I would see it in three months and get back to baseline in six months. I am so anxious to see what happens. I'm scared. I know the little hairs growing along my hairline are history but what other damage could be done. What was the minoxidil masking? Any thoughts? Lloyd you had zero hairloss to begin with.

Even if any hair were to shed from using minoxidil (which you didn't need in the 1st place) it will grow back anyway.

Get off these forums, find something else to do with your time, see a psychiatrist. You don't have hairloss.

Thanks for the reply guys. I stopped because I just didn't want to lose it anymore and it only grew tiny hairs. I am just afraid that it helped maintain hair that otherwise would have been lost. I am bracing to find out how much. Sounds like the moment of truth will be in 2-4 weeks.

To hairhoper: I have a receding hairline. It isn't the worst one ever but it is clearly present. The corners wouldn't have receded as deep and at such a sharp angle if I was not losing hair due to Androgenetic Alopecia. I did have a high hairline to start with which sucks. If my whole hairline were average height this wouldn't be that big of a deal since the whole thing would be probably a half inch lower.

Okay it has been nearly two weeks since I posted this thread and nothing bad has happened yet. I am coming up to the ten week mark. Is this weird? I was taking finasteride for several months before I went off minoxidil but that wouldn't have mitigated the effects of going off minoxidil. I'm happy though. minoxidil is a joke. Receding hairlines suck.

Why should I expect a serious shed? I don't think it did anything for me.
