starting propecia?? at 17

im think of starting propecia at 17 can anyone tell me if this will affect me in any way. I am really tall but i havent filled out yet. I want to build up to help me with rugby league. Ive head propecia can stop you from developing. Im thinning at the front. what would be the best way to treat it
