Starting Minoxidil At Same Time As Fue Procedure

Hi,

I am getting an FUE procedure done in a few weeks but I feel that I should also start taking minoxidil to stabilise hair in the existing areas (I am a norwood 3/4 but the hair in the centre is starting to thin). Can someone please tell me the following -

1) Should I avoid starting on minoxidil until after the procedure? Should I leave some time post procedure and do I need to avoid the transplanted areas?

2) Is minoxidil/rogaine a danger to pregnant women? I had previously been told by doctors that it was but then a credible surgeon (conservative, very good reputation - not the one doing my procedure due to availability not matching with my timeline) recently told me that wasn't the case and questioned where I heard it. My concern is that if my partner and I decide to have children then I will have to stop taking it and the consequent hair loss will occur

1) Wait 10 days or so before taking topical minoxidil after FUE. Unless you wish to take oral.
2) There is some perhaps weak evidence topical minoxidil could cause fetal deformaties. https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/14745922
