Starting Finasteride, Need Advice For A First Timer

So I'm 20 years old and I'm about to start finasteride as I can't handle losing this much hair, I had some questions before I start though.

1) If I get side effects, how long will it take for them to go away 100%?
2)Will taking 0.5mg lessen the chance of sides, or will it just reduce the effectiveness?

1) Nobody can know exactly when the side effects go away. There's a great chance you won't have any anyway.
2) You might even try 0.25mg for a few days to see how you respond to finasteride. Then gradually increase the does to 1mg. Again, nobody can know how you'll respond to the drug. Just take it and see how it feels.

Don't forget to take some good hi-res photos from your hairline so you can compare it to photos taken later in your life

1. Hard to tell, in most they go away within a few weeks to a month of ceasing the drug, some have long lasting sides though.
2. I have heard finasteride has a flat does response down to 0.25mg so I don't think it would make much of a difference.
