Thanx guys.

Be careful with gyno. If it gets bad for a prolonged time it will only be reversable with surgery. If it's just fatty gyno I wouldn't worry too much. If it's fatty glandular gyno it's much harder to get rid of. Unfortunately I developed glandular gyno from finasteride. Still not noticeable to anyone exept me. I lowered my finasteride dose down to .5mg then .25mg. I've only done this for like 6 days so far so I don't know the results yet....I've also ordered some Nolvadex to help combat the gyno. Hopefully this will allow me to continue to use finasteride. In case it doesn't I'm prepared to do the spironolactone thing.

You may be throwing you're hormones really out of whack (for lack of a better word) see-sawing your finasteride dose like that. If you're going to continue using finasteride, maybe start back on at .5mg. It's possible it may be a big enough dose to help with hair loss yet low enough that you won't experience SE's. Here's to wishfull thinking :)

A good thickening shampoo that I use is Diametress by Nexus.

i think ill continue to stop using finasteride and see if i can lose this "extra weight" then start finasteride again after that, then i can start finasteride from scratch and see if it is making me gain this extra "weight".

Do you really think its the finasteride thats causing the weight gain? I mean come on. How is this possible?

Stokes...This is nothing new. It's very possible that finasteride makes some people put on weight due to high Estrogen levels. High Estrogen is also responsible for Gyno. The chances of this happening to anyone are slim but not unheard of. Everybody reacts differently to it.
