Started rogain liquid a 3 weeks ago..

And just recently started noticing a lot of hair falling out! I know the Rogaine specifies hair loss may start 2 weeks after start but I never thought it would be this much. If I wave my hand through my hair firmly now, I will pick up around 15 hair strands. At this pace I will have a bald spot within 2 months or so... how long is this side effect supposed to last??

I'm a bit panicked since my hair covered my balding very well before i started rogaine but now not so much. :sobbing:

You are shedding. I wouldn't call it a side effect. It's expected. Typically, it means you'll have positive results.

I highly doubt your shed will last 2 months. Maybe one.

That is not really a side effect, it's actually a sign of the minoxidil working. If you didn't get any shed then that's not necesarily good. The hairs falling out are the weak ones that will be affected by the minoxidil. So the more hairs that fall out the more hairs that the minoxidil will "work" on and improve their status.

Ride it out and enjoy the results in a little bit. Sounds like you are responding well to the treatment.

im experiencing some shedding on minoxidil & yes its weak hairs (thin & light in colour). just ride it out.

This isn't what Dr Lee says. On his site he highlights shedding from minoxidil and Propecia has a hairloss myth? WTF? :freaked:
