Started finasteride today- anything to add to finasteride+minoxidil?

saw my 2nd derm, both who are with different hospital networks and both have been practicing over 25 years.

2nd derm was an advocate of propecia and takes it himself- once I received a 2nd "yes" to finasteride I ran to Costco, grabbed the generic, and took it. Im flat out sick of losing my hair that used to be crazy thick only just 2 years ago. I just turned 25 and I've been using minoxidil since I first noticed thinning.

Doctor said 1 mg/day is fine as opposed to .5 mg to ease the body in- is there anything else I can take? L lycine, biotin? Really hoping for thickening/regrowth- wish I pulled the trigger earlier...

finasteride and minoxidil are all you need. finasteride is the most important by far. Nizoral shampoo would be my only other suggestion. L-lycine and biotin will do nothing.

nothing really. Theres a bunch of other stuff that supposedly does "something" but its not much. If you are interested in making your hair look thicker, nizoral fluffs it up to make it look thicker and is supposed to have very mild anti-androgenic properties

Do they have nizoral at Costco?
