Started Finasteride But Need Advice

Hey guys, I've been on this forum lurking and reading posts for about a year now. I sucked it up, swallowed my pride, and went to a doctor last week and talked to him about my hairloss and he prescribed me Proscar without hesitating. I've been quartering the pill for 10 days now.

To the point: I am a Norwood 2.5 with receding temples. If I grow my hair out, my hair loss isn't noticeable. I have curly, frizzy hair so it hides it well, though my entire head has thinned drastically in a year's time and I believe I'm a diffuse thinner. Should I start Rogaine now with Finasteride or should I wait several months and see what Finasteride does?

Opinions are divided:

If you're scared of sides, most people will tell you to start finasteride, and if that helps and you don't have side effects, add Rogaine (or any other minoxidil)
If you're not so scared of sides (very rare with Rogaine) most people will tell you: Try them both at the same time, they will benefit each other

IMO, finasteride will stop your hair loss, rogaine will add a bit of hair. If you are happy to maintain (since your hair loss isn't noticeable) you don't need minoxidil.
