Started And Stopped Using Minoxidil. Should I Restart?

I started using minoxidil late last year. I went through a large shed during the first two weeks, as expected. I did not see any strong regrowth, though I did notice a few new hairs that were long, thin, and white -- like they were vellus hairs that had not turned terminal. After four months, I stopped using minoxidil, per the box instructions.

It's been three months since I stopped using it, and my hair continues to shed. I'm worried that my remaining hair became dependent on the minoxidil as I was using it. Is there any benefit to restarting minoxidil?

This is what my crown looks like as of this morning: http://i.imgur.com/ipuYpIP.jpg

I've tried taking finasteride, but it gave me bad side effects that I wasn't comfortable with. I've thought about microdosing finasteride, but I don't think that it would be effective without still giving me sides.

Either way, if you don't continue any treatment you will start to lose more hair.

If you are not comfortable with finasteride, (even small doses help actually), then go back to your minoxidil, remember though, there is a synergistic effect when using a multi-treatment regime.
