I am not sure what effect they have on metabolism. From my own experience, Paxil puts on the pounds because it makes your appetite increase. Zoloft and celexa did just the opposite to me and made me lose weight.
The really bad meds for weight gain are the neuroleptics like Zyprexa. People with schizophrenia take those, and gaining 50 pounds in less than a year is not uncommon.
