What is the "lowdown" on this spironolactone i keep reading about? Is it good/bad to take? How much does it cost? Are there side effects?

From what I can gather, spironolactone prevents the dht finasteride doesn't eliminate from eating your hair. I'm not clear if it regrows hair in any capacity.

HELP?! :D

the spironolactone seems to convert testosterone in your scalp (which is bad for hairloss) into oestrogen (which isn't) and seems to block androgen hormones like testosterone and DHT into androgen receptors in your hair follicle, preventing the attack. someone correct me if im wrong. also, the way u apply the spironolactone also seems to be important. cream is good as is Prox-n since it contains spironolactone with other things which make it act better in your scalp.
