spironolactone smell? wholesalehairproducts.com?

i bought a few bottles of 2% liquid spironolactone off of wholesalehairproducts.com

only problem is that it doesnt smell like skunk like people on here says it should. it just smells like straight up super strong alcohol. the ingredients are spironolactone/ppg/alcohol/water, according to the label. should it still smell like skunk?

I would mix a drop of it with a drop of minoxidil.. it should react and stink.

i put 3 drops of the spironolactone liquid on a q-tip, then put 3 drops of kirkland liquid minoxidil. no changes in smell within the first 20seconds, just smells like alcohol (both are made of the same basically). i threw the tip away... think the spironolactone is fake?

Give it another go, mix it with minoxidil and give it more time to react... if you feel no bad smell whatsoever it can't be spironolactone.

Sometimes it's hard to detect typical spironolactone smell.
Dr. Lee's spironolactone cream doesn't smell at all. Does it mean it's fake, no.

how do you know, have you even used this topical before?

firstly, the strong smell of alcohol probably overrides it

secondly, its 2% spironolactone, not 5% so will automatically be less strong.

My pharmacist made me a 3% minoxidil solution with 0,05% spironolactone and even at such a low concentration the mixture STINKS.

Dr. Lee's 2% spironolactone stinks too, is just that he add some strong perfume that hides the odour.

i used spironolactone from wholesalehairproducts before. I stopped after about a week cause i had my suspicions about their spironolactone also...

If HairLossTalk.com would keep stock we wouldnt have to rely on these shady suppliers
