Guys

With diffuse thinning would 2% spironolactone from Dr Lee be as proficient as 5%. Or, what I want to ask is do some people with diffuse thinning have no issues with the 5% cream when applying it?

Thanks Id like to order either one today!!

I tried his 5% for 6 months and i can honestly say that this did absolutely nothing to my hair. I would look at some other products instead spironolactone. In my book his spironolactone is a snakeoil.

you say "HIS" meaning other spironolactone containing products arent... or you mean you think spironolactone does nothing and spironlactone is snake oil?

I don't know about other spironolactone products. I tried Dr. Lee's 5% cream and it was waste of my money as it did nothing for me in 6 months period. So for me spironolactone cream is a snakeoil. You can't find any real success stories with it anywhere anyway.

So if you had the same results with finasteride (tried it for 6 months, with no noticeable effect), would that also make finasteride a "snakeoil"?

There's a very old study showing improvement in hair appearance and density using spironolactone 3%. The lotion was applied twice a day for a period of 12 months and most of the improvement was achieved between the 6th and 12th month.

I believe there may be two critical points when it comes to use spironolactone: 1) Apply it twice a day, as it degrades so quickly, and 2) Be consistent with the treatment for at least 9 months to evaluate results.

I think people who state spironolactone is "snakeoil" should report how long have they been using it and whether they applied it once or twice.

Once a day should be enough. I have read somewhere that after it gets absorbed, it works for a few hours.

I think spironolactone is underrated.
