For those on here who may listen to his show, I'm sure I'm not the only one who's ever noticed this. I've been a fan of this show for many years and really like Spencer and his friend Joe. However I have always had one big problem in that it is so blatantly obvious that the two of them are so very much PRO-Finasteride to the point where you almost wouldn't blame a person for thinking there is at least some form of a connection to the two of them and Merck. They never seem to put the drug down, and if anything, talk it up in a rather significantly positive way, always. Either there is a connection to Merck going on somehow, or they are both simply naïve enough to think that Propecia is perfectly fine and for a man to worry about taking it, well he is just being overly superstitious. Again, this is from YEARS of listening to the two of them.
Last night in particular there were TWO callers who both specifically explained that they stayed away from Propecia because of all the obvious, (albeit of course small percentage of) horrific negative reports about the drug throughout the years, and like so many other times on the show, there was Spencer and Joe almost subtly brushing off any real worry about the medication. Joe began going on to the caller about how if he had taken the medication beginning years ago maybe he would not be in the predicament he's in now, and at one point Spencer even explained to one of the callers how it was something like just a "Few guys" with problems years ago who started all this talk, and almost implied how others just latched on to that and it grew from there. Insane. Do not quote me on any of this, but this is extremely close to what I recall last night. Propecia is a drug where the FDA forced Merck to even CHANGE their label stating that there is a possibility of sexual side effects persisting after discontinuation of use. A drug where there are not just a few, but thousands of users on a site PropeciaHelp.com. A drug that has officially been reported as dangerous by MD's and professors, top US studies in Boston and Washington.
Men need to be aware that these two are wrong for constantly pushing or at least implying on the show that Propecia is completely safe. History and endless evidence shows that is not the case. Joe Tillman has a video on his YouTube channel insanely titled "Propecia - Pop it like Candy!!! Side Effects Real or Imagined?" (right, bc thousands upon thousands of men are just "imagining" this), where he is even quoted telling people to "Stop spreading rumors" and "Stop repeating sound bites" and "Shame on people" for doing this. For doing what? Warning men that this drug, .0000001% chance or not might ruin their entire lives?
