Hi everyone

Which would you say is more effective on its own Spectral Rs or Dr Proctor's Prox-N.

Im currently taking Prox-n and spironolactone but im thinking of changing to Spectral RS instead.

What say you all?

I want to avoid using minodoxil for a little longer...

Well, if you look at the DS website, it basically says that you must use the RS with minoxidil. I have tried Prox-N and it didn't seem to work, either. I don't know what to tell you, as I am allergic (low blood pressure) to minoxidil, so I can't use it either. I made my hair shed, which might have meant it was going to work, but then it gave me palpitations, so forget that.

If you want it in a nutshell, the longer you wait to use minoxidil, the less it will work. Why, because the sooner you use it, the more hair that it can stimulate.

Anyway, all this is anecdotal, but if you can find a bunch of people here or anywhere else that had great success with either one on their own, or with other milder solutions, please tell me. My feeling is, if either one worked well, they'd be able to sell it at salons and grocery stores like minoxidil. And all these excuses about marketing and economy of scale holding them back seem like, well, excuses. They remind me of little kung fu guys saying they were too deadly for the UFC, and then when they finally get in there, they get smeared.

Im at the very early stages of male pattern baldness and dont think minoxidil will do much good at the moment, especially when one considers it doesnt seems to work for everyone long term.

So far im taking spironolactone and Prox-n and I have noticed a big decrease in the amount of hair im losing, so if I can just add something to improve things a bit more...

I would start with finasteride if you're not already taking it. How much does a bottle of prox-N usually last you? I got through mine in about a month
