Something else going on?

I'm a diffuse NW2-ish thinner. I've been taking finasteride for 3 years and it hasn't had much effect. I recently moved to a new apartment that has "make-up" style mirrors -- 3 panels that you can angle and adjust.

So the short story is, I've gotten to get a good look at the sides and back of my head for the first time and I think I may be thinning almost as much in those locations as on the top. From what I understand about male pattern baldness, that doesn't make much sense.

Is it possible that I've got some other condition (thyroid maybe) on top of some mild male pattern baldness?

Well, I am also thinning all over my head, though I have some recession at my hair line and thinner hair at my crown. The temple recession hints to MBP without a doubt.

Why didn´t have finasteride much effect? Didn´t you maintain your hair? One shouldn´t expect too much from finasteride!

mate how much has your hair loss progressed in the 3 years on propecia? if it has stayed the same then finasteride has done alot for you in my opinion.

but yes, it is possible and very easily checked if you go to your doctor and ask for the tests. very easy to test for.
