With every single technolgical advance we have had in this world why the hell is it so hard to come up with something that will grow hair. Tell me how we can clone actual being but cannot come up with something to grow hair. We can replace almost every part of someones body but we cannot come up with something to grow hair. How freaking tough could it be, really? Damn its frustrating.

There is very little fianancial incentives for drug companies to put research into developing a new drug for male pattern baldness. Propecia has a 83% success rate, it will be hard to top that without investing some serious cash. And if HM takes off in the next few years then that will be money wasted. Minoxidil foam will be out soon.

An 83% percent sucess rate at maintaining an already partially bald head of hair. That's still pretty crappy if you ask me...

I agree, i just dont understand how with all the advances in technology their isnt something we can put on our heads to get as hairy as we want.

wouldn't it be funny if HM doesn't pan out but in the next 10 years we are able to clone ourselves and we can just transplant hair from our clone onto our own heads?

I get the whole funding and this and that, but you would think with everything else we have come across that at some point someone would have stumbled upon somthing that could make us gorilla if we were so inclined.

I don't think HM technology will overshadow the need for a pill that can prevent hairloss and regrow it. Perhaps I don't understand fully what HM will offer, but to me it seems like little more than a supply of unlimited transplant hairs. People will want to keep their hair and avoid repeated expensive HM treatments, and not to mention the fact that you have to lose hair before you have it replaced, meaning that you'll be bald for periods. I still see a great need for a cure or more complete and successful treatment.
