To increase absorption of Finasteride and help avoid any loss of that precious 1 - 1.25mg due to digestion; preferably take on an empty stomach ( officially Proscar can be taken with or without food ) with a glass of grapefruit juice. Grapefruit juice contains substances which inhibit certain digestive enzymes that break down Finasteride thus boosting ( more or less doubling ) your bloodsteam uptake of the drug.

I heard someone on these forums say this was false. It probably is.

Ketoconazole is also available in tablet form for internal use. When taken internally can cause a reduction in the production of testosterone and other androgens by the adrenal gland and by the male and female reproductive organs.

Since taking Propecia increases testosterone ...would taking Ketoconazole tablets be a good idea to balance it out so frontal hair loss reduces?

The thing about grapefruit juice is true from my understanding and I'll let someone else answer your question about oral ket, but I've read somewhere that it's probably not a very good idea as it can deplete androgens to very low levels which I'm sure cannot be good.
