some observations on male pattern baldness

Here are a couple of observations I've made about hair loss and MBP

male pattern baldness has been around since man/woman made the Great Leap from ape to Homo sapiens. I think it is actually a trait some apes carry as well - point being it's been around for a long time (at least 40 thousand yrs). Sine the trait is inherited, I don't think it directly comes from either your ma or pa, it is a product of what genes you end up with and how those genes interact with each other once nurture (i.e. environment) takes over. The fact that men still suffer from male pattern baldness after tens of thousands of year of evolution is a testament of women’s’ perception of male pattern baldness. If male pattern baldness caused a man to be so unattractive to women then no bald men would procreate, or would procreate on a limited basis, and eventually the trait would be evolutionarily selected out, i.e. survival of the fittest. At the very least there would be very few cases of male pattern baldness. Obviously this hasn't happen since there are millions of men with shinny reflexive heads, my old man being one of them and me in about 10 yrs unless someone discovers a cure (HM).

I've been able to handle male pattern baldness fairly well as I grew up looking a little funny and was teased for it, and I still do although my girlfriend insists I'm handsome. All the teasing caused me to develop a mechanism to deal with the commenting/poking fun at me and forced me to focus on what I could do well. On the other side people who grew up being attractive, and possibly the one that made fun of others, male pattern baldness hits them harder. It seems they have more to loose since their attractiveness has been a big part of their life.

Max Fischer in Rushmore said it best and I think it’s the best advice I can give
“I guess you've just gotta find something you love to do and then... do it for the rest of your life. For me, it's going to Rushmore.â€￾

Only funny thing i've observed about male pattern baldness is knowing every guy's hairline in my surrounding since discovering my own is gowing to sh*t...

The major flaw in your theory is that male pattern baldness gene in men comes from the mother.

But to an extent you are correct. My very beautiful girlfriend would care less if I were a total chrome dome. I mean, I'm sure she would be a bit dissapointed but it's not a dealbreaker. Girl loves me.
