I have been on propecia once a day since March. For the longest time I didn't think it was doing anything. I think my hair receded slightly more in the 8+ months since I began. However, I think I made some gains in the thickness department (peaking at month 6 I'd say). It should be noted that I haven't gotten a haircut in a while. I was trying to grow my hair longer to cover the recession but for the longest time, my hair growth (not regrowth) was at a standstill, and only now after about 7 months has it reached my eyebrows. In the last week or so, I've been shedding a lot more than usual, and the hairs are long and thick, and have seen a thinning in the front half of my scalp. The past week I've also given my scalp a break from Nizoral because when I was using it every other day it was leaving my hair so blehh. Could the brief stoppage in Nizoral contribute to the increased fallout or is it some synchronized shed occuring late. I'm definitely gonna stick to the one propecia a day and nizoral 3x a week. I'm just hoping I can get some reassurance that my it's gonna be alright. I could live with the recession I have right now (I guess I became resigned to the fact that my old hairline is not coming). I just want the thickness I had 2 months ago to return.

Give it time, stick to the propecia, always use a conditioner after Nizoral.

Good Luck
