Soft Water Making Hair look worse

Recently had a water filter installed in my home and noticed it makes my hair look like ****. Cant gel or style properly and is very flat.

Any recommendations how to avoid this by some kind of shampoo or ??

Yeah that's what i meant - water softener*

I'm still using the same volumizing shampoos (nioxin, lipogaine big 3, mane n tail horse shampoo) that i was using when my water was harder but noticed they don't have the same effect.

Is there any specific shampoo you recommend?
