Sodium Nitrates

I'm sure all of you know that sodium nitrate is an ingredient in most lunch meats. It's also known for its carcinogen possibilities, and can be extremely dangerous for young children to eat as it can stunt physical development. I've gone on a "cancer patient" diet (despite not having cancer) for the past couple of months. I've been eating alot of free range chicken, fresh leafy, green vegetables, and anything else with natural ingredients. I've completely shunned cheese, lunch meats, and red meats. Also, I've got rid of all foods containing hydrogenated oil. I must say that my scalp feels awesome- no itching hardly at all- and my hair loss has completely stabilized. I'm even seeing some regrowth on the front of my scalp where most of my hair loss is focused. I'm a firm believer that many of the chemicals we eat on a daily basis do more harm than we realize.
