So what's up with ACELL?

I've heard a lot about ACELL and their Matristem pixie dust regarding (among other things) cloning hair follicles. I don't really understand what the possibilities are at this point other than being able to regenerate the donor area so they can snag more hair follicles. Now I've read that they can actually clone the hair follicles. What's the deal? Does anyone have any info?

http://www.acell.com

I know they have been doing tests on men who get regular hair transplants to regenerate the donor area so they can have (theoretically) an unlimited supply of donor hair. But I've also heard that they have actually cloned hair follicles. I'm just curious if there's any real future for this.

Here's a link to the bald truth interview I listened to....

I'm just hoping that there's more possibilities here.

it's sounds like an accidental discovery, it's intended use is to clear up bad donor scaring from a hair transplant
but it's experimental atm, they are not going to put it through a clinical trial for hair restoration
all this hype might be over cloning 1 hair out of 100, we have no idea on how to use it, how much to use, what gives the best results, whether or not the new hair is androgen sensitive etc etc etc
despite this article i don't' think it'll be operational until after the competitors get their product on the market
