Started thinning and shedding pretty badly three months ago. Was put on 5mg of finasteride a week (taking 1.25mg for four days) and 5000 mcg of biotin daily about 2 weeks ago. Care to provide insight to this confused 24 year old? Thanks.

It seems to be present throughout the sides which would mean you don't have a stable donor zone so hair transplants aren't an option for the future.
Luckily your hairline is perfect, if finasteride and minoxidil can thicken that up then you're golden.

It's a form of hair-loss that effects what is the normally impenetrable to hairloss sides and back of hair. GoldenMane's advice is very good and you would be wise to follow it.
