Smoking and nicotine promote new blood vessel growth

Stanford researchers have discovered that low doses of nicotine, a major component of cigarette smoke, appear to promote new blood vessel growth (in mice).

Hmm, probably the patch would be good for you, while smoking will still hurt your lungs.

Okay... but all the other chemicals in cigarettes, including rat poison, will definitely result in contricting your existing blood vessels, as well as degrading everything in your body.

maybe contricting your existing blood vessels causes the body to form new vessels perhaps?

I have a conditioner with nicotinate in it. The idea is the same, but I don't think smoking it is a good idea.

Get a patch :hairy:

Exactly. Wearing contact lenses can do the same thing in your eyes, by starving them of O2. This isn't exactly a GOOD thing...
