Small vellus hairs growing above my eyebrow?

After 2 months on minoxidil and 2 1/2 months on finasteride, I'm seeing some hair growing where I never had any hair before... Above the outer edge of my eyebrow. It runs all the way across to my side hair. Very small and fine hairs, vellus probably. Is this a good sign? I'm not noticing any new vellus hairs at my temple recession point, but my brother, who also is experiencing and treating hair loss asked me today if I had nanogen in my hair, and I didn't. He said he couldn't see any obvious scalp showing through, though it may have just been the lighting. It's very hard to tell but I wonder if this is an early sign that it may be working?

Maybe you're accidentally dripping Minoxidil on that part of your face?

Oh, I certainly am, it usually drips down from my temples on to my forehead to some extent, It's certainly the cause. I was just wondering whether this new growth where no hair existed before is a sign that I may be a good responder?

It could be a good sign. Best of luck. And try not to continue having it drip down to your forehead, otherwise........

Maybe I was being a bit over optimistic, after taking some photos it appear that my crown is in fact much worse than it was 2 months ago :(. Maybe the front and middle is better but maybe it's just the lighting... How could it get that much worse in sol little time? I noticed a big increase in shedding over the first month, but in recent weeks I've been losing less hair when I brush it than I have in years... Getting very worried now...

it could be from your shed. give it some time, the shed hair needs a while to grow in you know. don't give up yet :)

I hope it was just the shed... Damn, I was feeling really hopeful yesterday, this really is quite a shock, especially since I thought my hair was getting better... I suppose it's still relatively early days... It could be the lighting either, maybe the vertex has always been this bad. In the newer pic I too it next to a window for natural light, and in the older picture I took it in my room at night time. I need to be more consistent with my photo conditions.

2 month is nothing. Be patient and you will see some good regrowth! Good luck!! :)

Yeah I wouldn't worry. My hair looked like it was getting worse for a little while, but shortly after that I experienced significant regrowth. One month ago I had a bald patch and now it's gone. I wouldn't worry.

I'm not giving up, I just got quite a shock. Looking in the mirror it doesn't look nearly as bad as that photo in direct sunlight, there's no actual bald spot, but the hair on my crown has become noticably more thin. I guess it's not time to ditch the nanogen just yet! Thanks for the reassurance guys, trying to stay positive here!
