Slight numbness in my genitals after 6 months of finasteride.

So I've been pretty good for not really feeling any sides for the majority of my time on Finpecia. First week or so I had ball ache but this went after 4-5 days. I feel like maybe my sex drive fell a little, but this didn't stop me from getting an erection and wanting to see to it pretty much every day.

Last couple of days though I've noticed a slight numbness around my penis and testicles. I still get random erections during the day, morning wood as well. But I don't feel like they're as strong as they should be. I would say I probably masturbate at least once I day so I'm maybe going to give it a rest for a bit and see if situations improve.

Anyone have any experience with a side like this and power through it? Or have I reached a point where I should consider throwing in the towel?

Any help would be appreciated, thanks!

Hey

Not sure the pain is coming from the finasteride, I have been on it few years now and really didnt get any side (no pain in my nuts) there are sides, but some guys dont experience them at all, yea my erections could be harder like they use to be, but doesnt really effect me. does a pain extend into your groin?. Reason I ask is i know that sometimes the tubes behind your testicles can get twisted and cause pain and numbness....and isnt related to the finasteride.

Hey,

The pain in my nuts only lasted a few days when I started first.

There's no pain at the moment, only that my penis and balls feel a little numb. Like sometimes when I'm holding it, it feels likes it's under slight anesthetic or something. It's not too bad, just feels like it's lost some sensitivity or something.

some people do report reduced sensitivity on the penis shaft so its not too farfetched... lay off the jerking for a couple days and see if things change.

I've read that it was a sign of Low T so I've been a little freaked. I'll try my best to keep the hand off till at least next week and see where that gets me.

Just don't want to do any long term damage to myself, but I also don't even want to think of giving up finasteride.

no long term damage man.. everything returns to normal 2-3 weeks after you quit.

Thanks for your input.

It does seem weird for it just to happen out of the blue after 6 months. But then I have read plenty of people online talking about my same symptoms.

Sometimes I think it doesn't feel too bad and other times it feels really odd, but then I dunno if I'm overthinking it cause it's not like I used to feel all around myself 24/7 to see how sensitive I was. Hopefully it'll pass. I'll give it a couple of weeks.
