DHT will attack your follicles regardless of how much sleep you get brother

I see miniaturization along the hairline, yet its at such an early stage and yes your hairline does seem back but that could just be your genes. Maybe consider Finasteride if it gets worse in the next few months, right now its not so bad.

I started balding way before I started sleeping late.

Will sleeping late even affect my hair at all?

and yeah, i was born with a naturally huge forehead haha. So is it the beginning stages of male pattern baldness or just a really big forehead

Well. There's definitely miniaturized hair. I would recommend seeing a dermatologist who can properly confirm whether you have male pattern baldness or not

That's strange how your dad insulted you for your receding hairline? IF you'd call it that lol...

Pretty weak NW2

Damn, a dad insulting a son on his hairline. If mine said that to me I would honestly tell him to fvck off lol (he can't, norwood 5 at 30)
As to your question, if anything, you can shed because of a stressful lifestyle, and that includes sleeping less hours, not having a messed up sleeping schedule.

forehead of peace

Well, at least you still got your temple points

You're a NW2A... time for finasteride. Within time you will approach NW3A

According to my dad the body (including hairs) repairs itself through sleep most efficiently from the hours of 11pm-2am.

And also I've had this hairline since age 14 or even younger. It's just that now I style it differently and get it thinned by my barber every 2 months with thinning scissors (could that be a reason why it looks bad?).

You might feel better, but your hair won't give a crap about that in the long run. If it has to fall, unless you do something about it, it falls.

LOL, it's ridiculous myths like this that are a contributing factor as to why there's still no cure for hair loss. Essentially, men are taken for fvcking idiots and believe this type of bullsh!t.

Fred would get a good laugh out of this.

virtually the only thing that causes balding is DHT and androgen receptors. Stress/diet/sleeping late doesn't matter

Thanks for the feedback guys. Time to call my dad out on his BS haha.

Last question: Since no men in my family are past NW3 or have vertex thinning, then I won't either, right?
*I wouldn't mind having a NW3 in my 30's or later (that look is pretty badass), but anything more than that can be an issue.

Wrong. Nobody in my immediately family has hair loss to my degree and especially at my age. Androgenetic Alopecia isn't dictated by warm fuzzy feelings that support youre own ideal outcome. Androgenetic Alopecia happens by chance and is genetic, so it can and WILL skip generations.

It's not badass. Women find it revolting. Some will even tell you straight up. The good news for you is that if you tackle hair loss early on, you'll be quite safe for years to come. Otherwise, you'll quickly learn how incredibly vain, shallow and hateful society is towards bald and balding men like myself.

I can assure you sleeping late does not cause male pattern baldness. Since the time I was 15 until now, I dont sleep till 9am in the morning and I usually wake up at 6pm. Been doing this for the longest time.

Thanks for the reply, man. How old are you now? and how has your hair changed since then? Just curious.

Im turning 32 this yr. Of course its rare, its like hitting the lottery, for a 30+ yr old to still have his juvenile hairline from his late teens or early 20s. I wish I had my juvenile hairline =) but we can all dream. Check out my username and look at some of my previous post if you want to see pics of my hairline. Its been like 6 months - 8months I think since Ive been here so the pics are outdated.
