Simple minoxidil Question

When you apply minoxidil (i apply 1.5 ml twice a day) should you stop massaging the minoxidil in when your hair looks dry?

After applying minoxidil my hair looks moderately wet and i'm worried that i may not be spending enough time massaging in the soloution?

However, to much time massaging may cause the minoxidil to come from your scalp to your fingers?

I don't think the massaging matters as much as it needs to just sit on your scalp all day to work. You are probably right, the more you rub the more gets on your hands- you want it to be on your head.

The whole idea behind minoxidil is that you need to let it dry onto your scalp before you do anything else to your hair, like go to bed, style it, color it, etc. Just rub it in until you know you've spread it evenly and then stop. You should be fine.

Can't you just use latex gloves?

That would work too. I've heard that minoxidil is highly toxic and pets have died from licking it off fingers, head, etc.

I see. I have been massaging minoxidil into my scalp for around 5 minutes? The sh*t gets in my hair so i rub my fingers into my hair to rub into my scalp? Would you say 5 mins is too long? I tend to style my hair after applying, even though i dont go out in public, maybe stylings a bad idea?

I always apply minoxidil after a hot shower. Yes I had some side effects at first..big face ..fucked up vision...but disappeared after some weeks.. the sh*t goes into your scalp faster and with 1 ml I can do the whole head. When applied on dry scalp..the minoxidil feel greasy forever and I only can do the front with 1 ml. Always wait like 5 minutes.. not too wet not too dry..then my head turn into a minoxidil sponge lol...got great results so far after 2 months... I style my hair went the stuff is totally in, when your hair doesn't feel greasy.. Use a good gel..So many on the market.
