Silicone derivatives and minoxidil absorption

This is apparently a silicone-free shampoo that Regaine Australia recommends for use with its minoxidil products. Does anyone know if there is any truth behind the statement that silicones impede minoxidil absorption?

I'm really curious because in light of seeing this I've been afraid that silicone may impede absorption of other topicals like S5 cream and hence I stopped using products that contain silicone derivatives before I began treatment for my hair loss. I'd really love to have a solid answer because one of my favourite mousses contains dimethicone, a silicone derivative and I won't be able to use it anymore if this is the case.

If any of you have anecdotal evidence or studies please do share!

Bump! Come on guys, I'm certain at least a quarter of you use shampoos or conditioners with silicones in them. Go and check your shower right now and read the label on your shampoo and/or conditioner, some of you will in fact see 'dimethicone' on the ingredients list.

To name a popular shampoo that a lot of you probably use, RegenePure DR contains dimethicone.

Now for those of you that have confirmed this, have you noticed that minoxidil or other topicals work well for you? If so, silicones may not be a problem as mentioned in the above website.
