Significant irritation with rogaine... Try Scalpmed?

Hi,
I've been losing my hair for a couple of years, and the bald spot on my crown area is getting larger... A couple of months ago, I gave 5% rogaine a try - just for two days. It totally messed up my scalp, a yellowish jel like stuff kept pouring off my scalp for almost a week, not to mention the itching all over my body... Recently I tried my luck with 2% rogaine, but unfortunately had similar (not as dramatic though) results...
I'm considering to try Scalpmed (despite its steep price tag). I know that its active ingredient is also minoxidil, but they claim that it doesn't have the side effects of rogaine. They have a trial period for 2 months, and I hope they'll stick to their promise... Now, has anyone experienced such weird results with rogaine, and would scalpmed be a good alternative in my case?

thanks.

Sounds like you may be allergic to the ppg in regular minoxidil. I would try a ppg version before you spent an outrageous sum of money on what is essentially a minoxidil product. Try Dr Lee's ppg free version http://www.minoxidil.com
