I have tried most minoxidils and most give me a reaction. I put very little on my hairline, and in the past, it worked great(DR LEE FORMULA LOTION) and i got no sides, just hair growth. Now since he is gone, i have not found one that works. Tried ones without PPG and still same reaction. Basically my face gets hot and i flush, eyes turn red. I know its allergic to something, just not sure what. I believe it might be the alchohol becasue lotions tend to work better for me. I tried Belgrave and it made me so flushed and heart was racing. Like i said, dont use much at all, just a little on the hairline. I am in desperate need of something that would work. Am i allergic to minoxidil or the alchohol? Please let me know what you think

Unlikely a reaction to ethanol; however, manufacturers usually use denatured alcohol, meaning that the alcohol (ethanol) is mixed with a tiny amount of some other substances to make it unsuitable for consumption (drinking). Possibly you are allergic to some of those additives. Because you say you have used (Lee's) minoxidil before without adverse reaction, it's not minoxidil either.
