I'm new to hair loss forums, although definatly not new to hairloss. I'm 18 & have had mpd since before I can remember, however it's only became a major issue this last year or so.
I'm here to ask two questions, I beg you please answer truthfully :)

First of all, i'm thinking of starting to use Rogaine foam, what does this actually do, slow hair loss or stop it all together? And if it does slow it, how much slower.

Second of all, would i look good bald? I'm going to attach some profile photos of myself. These photos are perhaps 3 years old each, when I used to shave my hair because it was (And still is really) how I like to wear it. They are of bad quality, but show my headshape quite well :)
Nowadays I grow my hair to cover where I have receded. I'm a model, and fear that should I shave my hair to a no.1 or 2 as I used to, the agency would notice I was receding rapidly & drop me as soon as they could. I know there are some bald models, but my slim build does not cater towards that type of modelling (Fitness and such).

If I was to shave my head, i'd do it completely build to disguise my hairline, and wear it for the next few years under the guise of a fashion statement I guess? God knows yet, but that's what I think i'd likely do.
Please answer if I look good bald truthfully, if I wanted to hear 'Go bald dude' bla bla bla regardless of my headshape i'd go to SlyBald Guys or something.

Anyway, here are the photos, please ignore how lame they are (Yes, I thought the B&W was cool), I was around 14 or 15. The other one was took without me realising in school, and i've cropped out the classroom.

Thanks,
Marcel.

P.S, sorry i've put this topic in the wrong forum/thread. And I don't mean to seem vain although I gather I must have come across like it.

Go for minoxidil (Rogaine) and regular exercises; tea or coffee. Massage your scalp at least once a day.

Finasteride, Dutasteride, RU58841 are not safe and NOT effective in receding hairline like you have. These are not advisable for your age or any age unless you have children already. Don't mess with your hormones.

Don't listen to any post after this. Finasteride, Dutasteride can have permanent side effects. RU58841 is NOT FDA-approved.

Don't take even small risks specially when they are permanent.

Here is a link to Finasteride stating "There is not sufficient evidence that PROPECIA works for receding hairlines at the temples"
