I have been on Propecia for almost 3 years now. Each year I have more diffuse thinning. If all diffuse thinning had stopped I would stay on it, but since I'm still losing hair I'm considering stopping it.
My fear is that Propecia is slowing the hair loss, but not halting it and quitting would cause everything to accelerate. It really is a tough choice.
I've been using Rogaine twice a day for about 2 months now also, and I don't see any increased hair density in that area either, but my main concern is Propecia. With all the negative news about the drug, I don't want to be on it if there is possible complications.
