at first i was only losing hair at the crown of my head. now im noticing significant shedding at the temples and the vertex as well. im not sure what norwood i am because the hair loss goes from the temples and curves around to the crown and is happening at the vertex as well. however the hair between the temples and vertex is still thick. ive been on minoxidil and finasteride for the past 1.5 months almost and have been using minoxidil only on the crown. should i start applying to the vertex and temples too?

also, can anyone tell mewhat norwood i am?

to give you a better idea it looks something like this

id rather not use that much minoxidil. i was hoping to get some regrowth from the finasteride or atleast to stop anything further but im getting nervous. any advice is appreciated.

btw, current regimen is as follows

minoxidil 2x daily(~11 am and pm)
finasteride 2mg/day(split into 4 dosages taken 4-5 hour apart)
nizoral EOD
Tricomin at night an hour after the minoxidil

How do you not see anything? There's definite general thinning on the left side of the head reaching back to the crown. This is the exact type of thinning I've had. I started using minoxidil for this whole area around 2 or 3 months ago. The shedding stopped last month. I've been using minoxidil on other parts of my hair for 6 months. For those areas I had shedding for 2 months, and then at 4 months it looked like what it did before the shedding, and now at 6 it's had about 10% improvement.

I'd definitely use minoxidil if I were you. You may not see great improvement, but even 10% is good, especially if you're using finasteride (which I'm not due to the insane risks associated with it.) You'll keep the hair you have, and in 4-8 months time from now you'll see some results.

Yeah I use about 2.5 ml once a day, but ive started using 2.5 ml at night, and like .5 ml in the morning on really problematic areas.

Being a person who blew it off or let it go and now is trying to get it back. If you still have hair in places you want it and its starting to thin/receded/fall out, start treating now and save it. once its gone, its transplant time.
