Should I start on Rogaine or wait? (pictures)

I'm 28 and my hairline has slightly buy noticeably receded in the last 2 years. In addition, all of the hair on top of my head is showing signs of minimization. Very thin and transparent. If there is light above my head you can see my scalp through my hair.

At this point I'm uneasy about taking finasteride because of the reported side effects. I did purchase several months supply of Rogaine but have not used it yet. In my situation what would you recommend? Should I use Rogaine/nizoral without finasteride or should I not take anything and wait and see how much worse my hair is going to get?

yeah dont take finasteride. It shrinks your corpus cavernosum and does an endless ammount of other horrific things.

Rogaine works well. But for me the results only lasted a few years, but it should buy you some time. Try it out and see if you get some regrowth.

Most people who take finasteride don't experience sideeffects at all. I've used it for over 10 years without any. You could take finasteride and see what happens.
I recommend Rogaine foam if you want to apply minoxidil 2 times a day. The liquid leaves your hair very greasy and is therefor almost impossible for two times a day use.

Thank you. So In other words I have nothing to lose by trying Rogaine alone?

If my hair were to stop thinning now and stay the way it is now for the next 10 years but I start using Rogaine tomorrow, I won't be doing any damage? Once I stop using it my hair would just return to the way it is?

Correct.

And you will likely thicken up existing hair and get some regrowth if you are a good responder, which I imagine you would be. Just prepare for it to wear off in a couple years. But that gives you time to figure out your next approach.

And good on you for no going on finasteride. In light of recent publicity its getting, I would stay far away from it.
