hey guys,

Posted a thread earlier with some pictures and people suggested I wasn’t balding and was more likely experiencing a mature hairline. After my most recent haircut I’m starting to worry that the thinning hairs might be extending beyond what would be considered a mature hairline. For whatever reason it seems like the right side is the only side with any visible minituraization. What Norwood am I now and what would I be once I lose those miniaturized hairs?

Looking for advice as to whether or not you would start Propecia if you were me, or hold off and see how things play out. I am definitely concerned about side effects but do believe they are somewhat overblown on this website and would be willing to try it if I thought things were going to get worse. Mainly worried about brain fog and any potential infertility, I could stand to be a little less horny.

Thanks guys

Personally I would wait longer and just take pictures every 6 months or year to watch its progression. Wait until you see a larger thinning or bald spot before going to life long drugs. Treatments are not that great, and arguably have some risks long term. I dont think you should chance your health until your absolutely sure its male pattern baldness, and it gets to a point where its starting to be major and noticeable. Even at that point you have time to seek treatment.
I wouldnt rush into a hormone treatment you might not even need. Looks pretty minor to me id wait.

If your still worried go see a doctor or dermatologist. There is no substitute for a real life examination. They wont lie to you, and they are experienced at seeing many types of hair loss, and how men respond to treatments.

I would personally start it because once the hair temples are gone no way you are getting it back, dont read what everybody says that you can regrow temples from minoxidil and finasteride bullshit.I lost my temples and i feel bad now and i have an appointment and will get finasteride prescribed.I can see that your temples are thining so better early than late.
