Hi, i am 19 years old and my hair has been thinning alot. Well my scalp has been itching for a while and i notcied my hair getting thinner at the back. So i went to my dermatoligist and he said my scalp is itching because of dandruff and dryness and that is why i have been losing hair. So he wrote me a shampoo and told me to use it. I used it and it stopped the itcheness for a while but i have still been losing hair. My friends even noticed that my hair has gotten thinner and told me that. The itchiness returns sometimes, usually when i get warm. So i decided to meet another dermatologist and she is gonna determine what the reason for my hair loss is. And that meeting is happening the 13 december. That meeting aint cheap aswell. The wierd thing about my thinning hair is that my older brother has his hair+ a full grown beard and so does my dad( though his hair is thinning but he is in his 50s) So i ask you guys should i start with finansteride right now or wait untill the 13?.

You dont think i should wait for a 100% answer back? If i start now and the dermatoligst says its something else wont that make my hair worse?
You could wait I mean two weeks nothing will be lost.....I hope it is something else. So yes it's fine to wait.....keep us updated and I hope you have some good news come the 13th...best of luck
