Should I Be Worried About This Cow Lick?

Background info:

I am currently 20 years old, nearing 21. I've actually recently been growing my hair out for the past year now and have not really noticed any receding hairline what so ever. I normally don't shampoo regularly, maybe like once every 3-5 days because my hair becomes seriously damaged and dry if I shampoo frequently so I'd simply conditioner my hair in the days I don't shampoo or simply rinse with cold water - I also have dandruff problems I'm looking to fix. I have noticed hair shedding, but I've only noticed it ever since I've gotten longer hair and I can now visibly see a couple of hairs in my hand from time to time when I run my hand through my hair. Not sure if that's normal but I've been told it is.

ANYWAYS... I took a shower, my hair was super wet and I decided to part my hair as much as possible. I flicked from top hair to the front, my back hair to the sides, and my side hairs as much as possible so I can see the parting at the crown. When my hair is wet and I'm under severe lighting, I notice it looks a little thinned out but I'm not sure. When it's not under severe lighting with my hair all pulled back in opposite directions, it looks normal, so I don't know.

So here are my thoughts on it:

So it looks like it may or may not be thinning, and I knew this day was going to come, just wasn't expecting this early at 20. My father is a NW3 and he's 50 years old, and my mom's dad is a NW1 with a full head of hair in his 70's. I have 6 months worth of liquid minoxidil at home that I've been actually using to grow a beard (yes, apparently this is a thing lol). Should I start minoxidil on my cowlick area? Again, I haven't seen any receding hairline at all. Also, should I get Nizoral DR shampoo? Would this be the time to start taking finasteride or should I hold off for the next 6 months and check again?

How does it look dry? I think you're probably fine.

It looks a lot more fuller when it's dry. When it's wet, it's easier to part it and expose the cowlick. My friend said it'd be unnecessary to start any treatment since I have a lot of hair on my head. I guess I'll just reassess in another 6 months to a year.
