I've always had a very high hairline and I can remember being teased from a very young age about it, but about 1 year ago I began to notice abnormal shedding when I would shower or brush my hair. I have never been one before then to lose hair, I have very thick wavy hair that I have worn long since I was 12. A year later, I'm beginning to get more and more worried because the shedding has not stopped, and I can notice slight recession in my hairline. From what i see fall out, it seems like less than 100 hairs a day, but I dont know how many fall out without my noticing. I've just begun taking Minoxidil 5% today, and I have begun taking 10 mg of biotin daily as well. My girlfriend and parents both say I'm paranoid and I find myself really hoping thats the case, but the shape and height of my hairline does not seem typical for somebody my age.
I was just wondering whether or not I should be taking this as seriously as I am, or if its normal for hair to noticably shed once a certain age is reached.
Thanks!

(PS my father is bald and had major recession in his late 20s early 30s, but his father (my grandfather) has a full head of hair at 70. Not much hair loss on my mothers side, my grandfather on her side had hair his whole life as well.)
