Should each district be allowed to decide for itself how it

Should the people of each district be allowed to decide for themselves how they elect their representatives? Say a majority of the people in one district think approval voting is best, where you can vote for more than one candidate you approve of, and the one with the most votes wins. In another district, a majority prefer plurality, where everyone has one vote, and the most votes wins. Should they be allowed to vote on the method independently from the rest of the state? Or should the methods be the same everywhere, and decided by state law?

I think it should be up to the districts. This way they can experiment without messing up the rest of the state. Also, someone really is not their representative if not elected the way they want.

I think if approved by a majority vote of all districts polled, districts should be allowed to join with other districts to have multi-seat elections. And by a majority vote of any of the districts, that district should be allowed to leave the group without the approval of the other districts.

To get something on the ballot, they should have to get the signatures of 15% of the number of people in that district who voted for governor last time. Then it can go on the ballot at the next general election to save money, unless it says on the petition that they want it sooner.
