Ok so on the top of my head, right on my hairline that i've been center parting for about 15 years, there are shorter, darker hairs, which mostly are of the same thickness of all the other hairs on my head, they end with a finer point, and are thicker at the route, about the same thickness as all my other hair.
when my hair is greesey (it gets greesey in one day so i'm forced to wash it each morning) you can see a bit of scalp at the top, on the part with the shorter hairs, I think this is because these hairs are shorter, and so they stick up, which help show the scalp at the part, probably like about 1cm either side of the scalp. I know i'm far from bald, but its still a bit worrying, especially for a paranoid bloke like me!
I guess my question is, are these MUCH shorter hairs, that detail the same thickness, and a darker texture than the other hair on my head, falling out - are they getting shorter due to balding.
Shouldn't these hairs be much thinner, I thought your hairs get thinner and as a result shorter, not just shorter with no thinning?
My hairs weird. Sides of head are very thick and curly, and wirey, hair doesn't grow long, its like i've got an undercut of pubes, which are hidden by the longer hair around it! Nice thought. Top and back of head is much more regular. Has been this way since I can remember really, from being a kid.

Oh, and comparing my hair to pics from 5 years ago (i'm 26) it does looka bit thinner but not by much, although I wasn't really checking my hair and being a paranoid twat about it back then.. or, or smoking the mj!! so who knows
