Shiny Sweat/Oil on the Scalp

There is one thing that has bugged me for a decade. I thought about putting my thoughts into words on this subject a long time ago but I think I will find it hard to explain it so I always left it.

When I noticed ten years ago my hair thining I remember laying the palm of my index and middle finger on the front corners of my scalp and pushing down slightly.

I saw sweat/oil on the fingers. When we have a full head of hair one would never have a reason to do such thing. I used to think "Why does the scalp produce this amount of oil when the sides or back of the head don't?"

Isn't hair structure & process the same where ever it is.

Now to my main point. I used to wash my hair once a week when I was in my teenage years. But when this scalp grease increased as I was growing into a man I started to wash more regular.

For the last 7 years I have been washing once everyday two days. I thought one day dry head, second day nice and greasy. Wash wash.

But I noticed something further. After one day after wash the scalp was ever so slightly shiny on the front corner scalp bald parts. No sweat pouring or anything like that. Scalp was not even feeling greasy but there was a shine!

So I turned my index finger to lay the nail on the scalp and slide it. I looked at the nail and saw shine.
Wether that was perspiration sweat which occurs over the nights sleep or natural oil I don't give a fcuk. I am convinced this shine of oil was all the way across the scalp.

Again my question. Why the heck does this not occur on the side or the back of the head.
Like I said the scalp only feels greasy on the second day towards the night at which point I wash my hair.

Is it okay to get a wet-ish cloth and wipe the front of the scalp each night?

I don't want to sound patronizing, arrogant or what ever word but with RESPECT I really need EXPERT opinion because I believe I am getting into the nitty picky of hair loss!!!

I know what's going on, I had the exact same problem before. Let me explain.

For many men who have male pattern baldness like myself, our scalp will tend to produce a lot more oil on the top of the head than on the back and the sides. The reason for this is because of excessive androgen activity causing sebaceous glands to enlarge and produce more oil than they're supposed to.

That's when using a Ketoconazole shampoo can be extremely helpful. When Ketoconazole is applied topically to the scalp, it has been shown to reduce androgen activity, help heal damaged scalp skin from Androgenetic Alopecia with it's anti-inflammatory properties, stimulate hair follicles, and can shrink the sebaceous glands up to 20%.

Before I used Ketoconazole to treat my male pattern baldness, whenever I washed my hair not even a day later, it would be like as if a ton of oil was rubbed on my scalp. My scalp was also super inflamed and itchy from male pattern baldness, but I don't have that problem anymore since having Ketoconazole in my regimen.

Exactly ehat I noticed when I was 19 , and looking back at pictures that is exactly the time my hair loss started

What is that thing?

I don't know Tom. We are in the exact same boat when it comes to that.
There is definitely something that should have been picked up on and I never dealt with this issue.

Look how dry the beard area is and how the hair grows.

I use Nizoral. It don't matter what you use. It always shines :)

Is it okay to wipe it off each night.

I think this is crucial!

I see what you mean.

But seriously though, Ketoconazole has been the only treatment out of every other one that I've tried in the past that treated all my scalp complications I was having from my male pattern baldness, at least from my experience.

This is not an expert reply but joking aside no one here seems to be able to understand crucial symptoms.
More interested in selling products.

It's as if what I'm asking is irrelevant or it's a mystery like cancer.
