Shedding on spironolactone/Revivogen

I added spironolactone 2x daily 4 weeks ago and revivogen 3 weeks ago to my 5% minoxidil regieme which i had been on for 8months with little results.However after boosting it with revivogen and spironolactone shedding has gone from 10-20 hairs per day to 30-40 per day.Im wondering if this is to be expected on these treatments and when can i realistically expect some results

Revivogen specifies in the instructions that some shedding is normal at first.

Anything that works can cause shedding so be prepared for your hair to look worse for the first few months.

is this true? even if we're talking about medications other than minoxidil or finasteride?
