I figured out I was losing hair recently. My whole scalp is getting very thin, but my crown is extremely thin. I don’t know if this just started or if no one mentioned it to me until now, but I immediately hopped on Finasteride 2 weeks ago. I’ve never done this, but I decided to count the hairs in my shower for the last couple of days. I’ve been dropping about 40-60 hairs a day, maybe even more, in just the shower. Some are long healthy hairs, most look like short miniaturized hairs. I’m not sure if this has been happening before Finasteride or if this can be a shed, keep in mind I’ve only started Finasteride 2 weeks ago.
1) Do you guys believe this is a Finasteride shed?
2) How troublesome is this rate of shedding? I feel like I’ll be slick by the end of the year.
3) If I respond to Finasteride, will these hairs grow back?
I’m literally picking clumps of hair out of the drainage plug every day (granted my hair is pretty long)
