Shedding from Minoxidil

Why does minoxidil cause shedding? The bottle says it may last up to 2 weeks, can it last longer?

No one knows exactly why it works... or why it causes shedding. And yes it can last longer than 2 weeks... there is no set time for minoxidil to start working, or stop working. It's all in the individual.

minoxidil will shed most of the hairs that are in the telogen phase of growth (for unknown reasons). If a lot of your hairs are in the resting (telogen) phase you will notice a larger shed of hairs than others.

thanks for the replys. this is my second go at regrowth with minoxidil. first time, nothing happened, well no hair were lost. now, i'm lossing hairs like crazy and i've been off finasteride for over a month waiting for the package to arrive. i started using folligen in hopes of assisting the minoxidil. i'm thinking of starting revivogen. any suggestions.
