Shedding After Quitting Finasteride

I heard that if you quit finasteride, you can shed a few weeks after, however as far as I know that was only for people who have been taking finasteride for years.

I took it for 5 days and then stopped due to side effects. Will this mean I will shed in a few weeks? Or since it was such a short period of time will that not happen? L

If you were sensitive enough to establish side effects after 5 days I would assume you'll experience a telogen effluvium in a few months.

tbh I didn't experience any side effects. I just said that so it would make sense why I stopped. The truth to why I stopped is I figured I didn't need it, I have a full head of hair. I'm just so OCD and it's killing me. I can't not think about my hair. I'm in the middle of a horrible anxiety crisis regarding my hair. Anyway, considering I actually didn't experience side effects, what is your verdict now?

I know shedding is inevitable in the first few weeks/months when you take the medication. Will it grow back. I basically just want to take it to maintain the hair I have. (In the family, some of my cousins have lost hair, while others haven't. My brother has a full head of hair like me).
