Hi everyone!!!

I started my treatment 3 weeks ago:

Propecia
Rogaine 5%
Zinc/Vit-B Complex supplements ( doctors recommendation)
Fungoral (Swedish name for Nizoral)

My hair has lost it's density over the whole head, the sides, neck....also it looks thinner, even though I didn't notice an unusual amount of hair fall outs. Is it normal to "shed" this fast only after 3 weeks? or is it something else? also the amount of acne on my face has increased, after I started taking finasteride

Kenneth: You can expect to shed heavily during the first two months of a treatment like that. I experienced a shed that wasn't quite as bad as what your describing after 2 weeks and then a horrible one after a 1 month 1/2. Also my facial acne increased ( nothing dramatic from no zits to a few) around the same time I began taking finasteride. Whether it was a side-effect of the finasteride, i'm not certain.

Just wait it out and hope that increased shedding means eventual increased growth.

The hair just feels less dense, but i can't se that it's thinner by looking in the mirror......Is there a chance that this shed means that my treatment have an adverse affect on my hair? :freaked:

There's always that minute chance but at this point its very likely that its just a shed. You can't make an accurate diagnosis to whether your having an adverse reaction until you've been shedding non-stop for 3 months. I'm kind of in the same boat as you. I lost allot of my density during the first 2 months and now as i'm in the middle of month 3 i'm hoping that things will start to turn around.

Think of it this way, without treatments what would your hair look like in 2 years?
