Hey yo

My thing is I shave my head and its all good...... but I got me 1 problem.

I got dark hair you can almost see where my crown is thinner.

Yo my biggest concern with the shaved head look is you still can see the RING AROUND THE HEAD look. How do you hide this?

Im sure you all know what Im talkin about.... Black kats aint got nothin to worry about because you cant tell on them like MJ, LL Cool J.

The RING THING aint cool if I can maintain stubbles the rest of my life its all good but you can tell on non black dudes the difference between shaving your head and having a mirror looking head.

I dont know if its just me then but even when I do this or even see other people do this you still can tell.

Maybe its because I know what to look for and still can see the difference.

Yeah, that is my problem. I shave my head even twice a day and my male pattern baldness pattern is still visible and it looks very bad evethough the shape of my head is good.

IMHO it is not good idea to get tanned as just the places without hair are tanned (have the similar coloutras my tanned face) but the rest where the hair is, has pretty different colour!!!

I tried eyes shadows, couvre to hide it but the problem is that it is not permanent.

My only solution is to have tattoo on all scalp by th same colour of the places where the hair normally is. But i am scared of it. Actually I do not what to do. I can not accept this look:(

Think he means that you should wax the remaining hair off. That way it should remove the contrast in color.

Are you guys talkin like how you wax your eyebrows?

if this is the case man that will cost a grip to have that done every3-4 days.

and i doubt that will hide the ring anybetter then shaving

its all about hiding THE RING. you know I wish ring around the head could become a fashion statement.

Wouldn't waxing damage the follicles?

ummm it would hurt but only for a bit...and u'd have to wax it i'd say like every other week and yes it would damage the follicles...but what do u care if u have no hair on top....unless a transplants, and yes it would remove the contrast the reason there is contrast is cuz the hair underneath is still there when u shave....thats why blonds when they shave their heads don't ahve this problem on teh first day of shaving

try growing your hair out to about 1-2 cm

try using dermatch and then a molding wax, clay, etc... any styling product that gives a dry messy look instead of that shiny look such as gel.

do it shirtless because it sometimes might splash on your shirt. apply the dermatch. wait for the dermatch to dry first and then brush through your hair. BE VERY CAREFUL when brushing because the dermatch slightly tangles your hairs together after drying and therefore you could yank a few out by mistake. after brushing, take a piece of toilet paper/tissue and dry off the excess powder on your head.

then wear a shirt and apply the styling wax or clay.

this should make your hair look a lot more bearable. and your hair should tend to be more frizzy, curly, and rough due to the head shavings. (i know because i shaved my head over 50 times)

it still works well though. after applying the styling product mess your hair around with your fingers for that dry/messy look. its gonna look like the shape of a fro' but with more texture.

hope this works. if you want an in depth dermatch application guide, check out one of my threads called DERMATCH users please help. also ask BUFFBOY or SOCIAL DRINKER they're a hell lot more experienced with Dermatch and hairloss than i am. peace

good luck

I still do not know what do you mean by "waxing". Sorry but English is not my nature language, so I do not know what does exactly "waxing"mean. How do you do it and what you need to do it??

Thank you in advance for a little explanation :)

Ever seen the movie "Karate Kid"? You remember when he's doing the "wax on/wax off" motions with his hand? Basically, waxing implies you do this exact thing and after a couple of weeks of wax on/wax off, your hair will fall off perfectly -- no need to shave, ever.

D.

P.S. For actual waxing here's a link: http://www.spacityspa.com/waxing.cfm -- I wouldn't try a wax-at-home kit if you're going to wax your dome, but would rather opt to go to a salon.

My wife waxes her eyebrows. Says its terribly painful and the skin swells and turns red for a day or two.

I had the same trouble when I was shaving my head. There is really no solution. You might try a hair growth retardant. It is to keep hair from growing too quickly. Women use it on their legs.

Waxing your head is really not a good idea. Waxing body hair, eyebrows etc. is one thing, hut head hair is a bit denser and tougher, I think there might be a risk of tearing the scalp.

You could always try IPL for a more permanent solution (I have it on my facial hair, hurts like hell).
